The Art of Living
August closes the summer season. It's somewhat of a
disappointment knowing that summer has nearly come to an end.
Even if autumn and winter are my favorite seasons, I am sad to
see summer go. The ice cream, green trees, smell of clean rain
and the rumble of thunder are some of my favorite things about
And who doesn't like the blue skies, sunny days, shorts, and
sandals? These are the days feeling carefree, easy cool meals,
refreshing lemonade, and taking road trips.
Fall will soon be upon us and we will love those days too.
It's the season for nesting and cozying up in sweaters,
drinking hot cocoa, and sitting near a fire with my wool,
linen and hook. Some of my best creativity flows during the
autumn and winter months. That is when I feel most inspired.
So for now, I am relishing every last moment of my summer and
making each day count. Summer's end is on the horizon, but
before it's too late, I'll enjoy my evening strolls in the
park with my Lizzie and share an ice cream cone with my Lily.
