A Rug-hooker's Cranberry Sauce Recipe.
1 16 oz. bag fresh organic cranberries picked over
1/2 cup water
1 cup organic cane sugar
1 organic valencia orange (zest and pulp-free juice)
1 organic red pear (cored and diced)
1 tsp organic ground cinnamon
1 tsp organic ground cloves
1 1/2 tsp organic ground ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Boil water, sugar, and cranberries for 20 minutes until cranberries pop and syrup forms. Reduce heat to "low". Add diced pear, zest, juice, and spices. Stir for 2 minutes and remove from heat. Refrigerate. Will keep for up to one year. Enjoy! Maggie's recipe.
