The Art of Living
Amid the busyness around her, on this day she manages to eek out 20-minutes for herself. Each morning, she rises, then rushes to accomplish the plethora of tasks before her.
Time; what is the significance of it, when it only flees from her grasp? This intangible, indefinite progression of existence in continuam of past, present, and future. Moments that become memories. Moments that are lost forever. Words you wish you could take back, or wished you would have said. Sensations that have faded and will never be felt again. Time is the momentum and measure of any activity she does, the love she gives, and the love she receives.
She understands the wisdom and the meaning behind love, and the vitality to give it and nurture it. Her friends know it, her family too. They thrive on the meaningful time spent together, and the beauty of friendship that impresses on them when they are together. That is, in fact, the wisdom of love; to make the time and take the time to be a genuine friend, mother, wife, sister, and daughter. She is afterall, all of these and more. She is also a caring neighbor, and a smiling stranger you pass in a store or on the sidewalk. She is a giver of herself who brings a smile to those who may have forgotten the significance of love, and no longer carry heartfelt smiles on the inside. Their wounds deep from their caustic and dark experiences over time.
So despite the harried nature of the world around her, she makes no demands for herself; instead, her sincere desire is to make the people around her feel happy, good about themselves, and to continually relish in the beauty of friendships. Time marches infinitely; traveling in fleeting moments and past sensations. Capturing the memories of her friendships is like the lyrical interpretation of a photograph; her life, her moments, her fond memories, happy smiles, laughter, and love.
Wishing you all a Christmas "Time" of memorable moments and fantastic sensations, friendships, happiness, and above all, love.
