The Art of Living
This antique hooked rug has color in it that remind me of the summers I spent along the shores of Lake Michigan; that sort of teal-blue color that beckons you to come inside the crisp cold waters that lap against the beach.
The colors of the houses in this rug are similar to the cottages that dwell along the Great Lake shorelines. Oh sure, some are deep and woodsy reds trimmed in white, but there are many white and cream colored cottages too.
Enjoy this old rug, and gaze upon its worn and frayed fibers that will tell you secrets if you listen carefully. XOXO
Sometimes it can get super hot here in the village. Yesterday, we had a high of 103F, and that got me thinking about how much fun it is to play in the snow. Seems as though we are never really satisfied with the weather we have. We complain about the snow or rain, whether it's hot or cold. It's never really just good the way it is; the way Mother Nature brings it to us. So with that said, I admit that I am a bit miffed at the super high temperatures, and want a little snow right now. XOXO
I have been out of the social media loop this week because I have felt a wee bit under the weather & work has kept me very busy. Alas! A new poster with an adorable farm scene from 1920 - 1930. I hope you enjoy it, and bring on the weekend!
