Sorry about being absent from my blog. I wasn't feeling well last week, and this week had to take it really slow so I could get some much needed rest.
What's slowing me down? Shingles. Ugh. Not too bad because I saw the doctor early. I thought I had some strange insect or spider bites, and when they became infected, I made an appointment. What a surprise it was.
So as soon as I have fully mended, time to go get vaccinated because I don't want to go through this little event again.
"Independence Day of the United States, also referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth in the U.S., is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by the Continental Congress declaring that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and no longer part of the British Empire. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the National Day of the United States."-- Source Wikipedia 2016
It's one of my favorite times of the year; the 4th of July weekend. Right in the middle of summer, the lush green and blooming gardens, red white and blue waving us hello wherever we go, and lemonadey picnics.
Most importantly, it brings a time of reflection, especially during a time when darkness and hate is vying for first place. But the light always wins. So lets reflect and pray on peace for all humanity; man, woman, child, black, white, brown, red, yellow, and every color, religions of peace and love, not hate. Because the source of freedom is acceptance, love, and compassion.
Pray for these in yourself and others. XOXO
