The Art of Living
With so much at stake in the political arena, it's nice to have a quiet place to go where worries cannot be found. XO
As rug-hookers, we have many left-over worms/noodles in colors plenty. Leaving us with a challenge of whether to sort them, or leave them in the tangled pile. Today, is the day to create a colored menagerie rug. Some call it "Hit & Miss," I call it bliss. XO
The birds have it easy; all they have to do is fly away. Come fly with me, away from the busy streets and mobs of people. Be still in the now. XO
Doris Eaton is a well respected rug-hooking artisan. A finishing technique that was passed down in 1961 from her friend, Mrs. Withrow, has become known as the Eaton Edge (see page 88 of Doris' book, A Lifetime of Rug-Hooking). This video demonstrates how this fabulous edging technique is accomplished.
This is a rug-hooker artist favorite. Victorian beveled-glass antique brass locket filled with Grosso Lavender buds to wear while hooking your rugs. A 26" antique brass and beaded chain graces this nostalgic artisan necklace. Only one available.
