A Wintery Day Deserves Tea

Tea is comfort when the weather turns biting cold. It soothes and warms a soul and invites quiet respite. Whether we drink it's liquid comfort while we read an engaging novel, or as a warm accompaniment when we create beautiful rugs, tea is much like a good friend who invites us in from the cold to sit awhile and spend time together.

We sip slowly and are warmed on the inside by its delicate flavors and spices. Tea forces us to slow down and regain our thoughts about the joy captured of this moment. Sometimes, we accompany our tea with small sweets or savory sandwiches, and other times, it is just us and the tea that afford us the stillness that make up a beautiful life.

Today, the winter is biting cold, and I concern myself only with the colors of wool I have before me and my warm tea that inspires me and reminds me of the importance of rest and creating lovely things with my hands.
